Artemis Universal Pendulum Impact Tester

Precision. Versatility. Uncompromising Reliability.

The Artemis Universal Pendulum Impact Tester represents the next generation in materials characterization. Designed in strict accordance with ISO 13802, this instrument provides the precise energy measurement required to evaluate the fracture toughness of plastics, composites, ceramics, and non-ferrous metals.

Whether you are supporting R&D, quality control, or academic research, the Artemis system delivers the repeatable, high-fidelity data required by the aerospace, automotive, construction, and polymer processing industries.

Advanced Technical Performance

Engineered for both high-throughput production environments and rigorous laboratory analysis,

the system features:

  • Multi-Method Capability: Supports Izod, Charpy, and Tensile Impact testing, as well as specialized component testing (e.g., small pipe sections).

  • Variable Impact Dynamics: Adjustable impact velocities up to 3.8 m/s, meeting all major international protocols.

  • High-Resolution Metrology: A 1k PPR optical rotary encoder measures the precise angle of rise, automatically compensating for friction and windage to ensure accurate energy calculation in kJ/m, kJ/m2, or ft-lbs/in.

  • Versatile Pendulum System: Highly accurate, single-piece pendulums with capacities up to 50J, secured by an electromagnetic release system.

Intelligent Data Management

The intuitive 7” touchscreen interface serves as the command center for your testing workflow:

  • Simplified Setup: Guided on-screen instructions minimize operator error.

  • Comprehensive Data Tracking: Store operator profiles, material references, and batch codes for instant recall.

  • Advanced Analytics: Use our proprietary LABLogic+ software to generate detailed reports featuring real-time batch statistics (Mean, Standard Deviation, and Coefficient of Variation).

  • Seamless Integration: Data can be exported via Ethernet, USB, or direct flash drive download in tabular and graphical formats.

  • Failure Analysis: Clearly identify and document break types, including Full, Partial, Hinged, or Non-break failures.

Safety & Standards Compliance

Artemis prioritizes laboratory safety without sacrificing workflow efficiency:

  • Fully Interlocked Enclosure: A robust safety barrier prevents accidental contact, paired with dual-button "dead-man" pendulum release and an integrated mechanical brake.

  • Global Compliance: Conforms to ISO 13802, ASTM D256, ASTM D6110, ISO 179, ISO 180, and ISO 8256 (Method A).

  • Universal Power: Multi-voltage (110–240v, 50/60 Hz) compatibility for seamless global deployment.
